Joan Mary’s Cocoanoat Squares
These chocolate and coconut oaty squares are a comforting treat. The recipe has been in the family for three generations and is also a firm favourite among my friends. It originated with Joan Mary, a South African who was looked after by my Granny's family after the war and became her friend for life.

Please be aware that all items are produced in a kitchen that handles numerous nuts, flour and dairy products.
Ingredients: vegan spread (plant oils (sunflower, rapeseed, sustainable palm, linseed), water, salt, emulsifier (sunflower lecithin), vinegar, natural flavourings, vitamin A), wheat flour, oats, desiccated coconut, cocoa powder, baking powder (disodium diphosphate, sodium bicarbonate, rice flour), sugar, vanilla essence.
Pop in an airtight container and devour within five days..
